25TH BIENNIAL CONFERENCE OF ICKL

The 25th ICKL conference will be held in Mexico City, hosted by the Escuela Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea (National School of Classic and Contemporary Dance), July 30 to August 4, 2007 (arrival July 29 - departure August 5).
This is the first ICKL conference to be held in Central/Latin America.

The Escuela Nacional de Danza Clásica y Contemporánea (National School of Classic and Contemporary Dance) strives to be a leader in Mexico in dance training. The ENDCC is officially recognized as Mexico’s national training center for dance. The ENDCC has developed a rich and sophisticated training program that includes Motif Writing, Labanotation and Laban Movement Analysis.

The content of the conference will include papers, workshops and panels on applications of Laban-based systems including, but not limited to, Labanotation, Laban Movement Analysis, Motif Description and Dynamics, in areas such as movement research, dance documentation, technology, cultural studies, stylistic analysis, teaching (in both dance and interdisciplinary studies), performance, directing from score, compositional process, etc.
