Website: www.laban.org LABAN is one of Europe’s leading institutions for dance artist training. In February 2003 LABAN opened its new building and the world’s largest purpose-built venue for contemporary dance. LABAN has won the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) Stirling Prize in 2003. Facilities include a 300-seat theatre, 100-seat lecture theatre, 13 dance studios, and dance health facilities plus a dance science research laboratory. On-site organizer is exploring other possibilities in another Student residency, at 15 minutes walking-distance, but will not have further news before April/May.
