If you arrive from the airport or the train station you have easy access through public transport to Placa Catalunya, in the heart of the city. (10/15 minutes walk from the Institute).

From Barcelona Airport:

Departure Frequency: 15 minutes
Aproximate time ride: 35/40 minutes
Cost: around 500 Pesetas (3,5 $)

Train
Departure Frequency: 30 minutes
Aproximate time ride: 23 minutes
Cost: around 400 Pesetas (2,8 $)

Taxi
Cost: around 2000 Pesetas (14 $).

Public Transportation

If you need to take public transportation often, the best option would be the T10 cards.
It costs 1 300 Pesetas (around 9 $) for 10 ‘travels’.
A travel is during 75 minutes the free access to all buses or metro.
Several travellers together can use the same card.
