What is Laban Ring?

Laban Ring is a community of pages with related content, organized into a circular ring. Each page in a ring has links which let visitors move to an adjacent site on the ring, summon a ring index, or hop to a random site.
Laban Ring let web visitors quickly and reliably find sites with related subjects.
Laban Ring was created in May 2002, and is administrated by Marion Bastien.

Navigating Laban Ring

Each ring site has a ring control panel, similar to the one below:
Laban Ring [List or Join]
< Previous | Random | Next >
The links let you navigate a ring:
. Laban Ring takes you to the homepage of the ring.
. List creates a list of all of the member sites in the ring.
. Join takes you to the ring's membership form, to sign up.
. Previous moves backward along the ring.
. Random jumps to a site picked at random on the ring.
. Next moves forward along the ring.

Who can join?

Laban Ring is intended to be a ring of resources. Sites that will be considered for acceptance are organizations or individuals sites offering informative content on the topic (Laban,
notation, motif, effort-shape, LMA, choreutics) , in any language.
Websites that are not related to the topic or not offering informative content will not be accepted. Inappropriate submissions will be deleted without notification.

How to join?

. Step 1: Add your site to the queue
Fill out the on-line form (the description of your site must be short - 1 to 4 phrases), and click the "Add your site..." button.
You will receive via e-mail a site ID number, and customized HTML code (the webring navigation bar) to insert into your web site.
Be sure to write down your site ID and password. You'll need your password if you want to edit your entry in the future.

. Step 2: Add the webring navigation bar to your website
Copy the HTML code from the email, paste it into the front (or index) page of your site, upload your modified page to your server.
Feel free to modify the code to match your website.
The code must be on the front (or index) page.

. Step 3: Once this is done, e-mail me to let me know that your site contains its webring navigation bar and is ready to join the ring.
After a check-through to make sure there are no problems (assuming your web site meets the criteria for inclusion), I'll add you to the ring.
